Distress Ink Butterfly

Today I want to share a page from my art journal with you because I am so happy with how these butterflies turned out. The coloring technique is super fun and easy! I am entering this page in the Fabulous Friday Coloring Challenge at Frosted Designs this week.

Here is a close up of the butterflies:

Here are the products I used:

You simply lay the color directly on to the rubber stamp from the Distress Ink bottle (it has a felt applicator) then spritz the rubber stamp with water and stamp it! I have always loved the Tim Holtz Distress Inks in the pads and use them on every project I create. Now they come in these nifty bottles and I am having a blast playing with them. The colors are amazing!

Thanks for looking, I appreciate your comments!

Oooh, it looks fabulous! I'm with you....the heart doesn't do too much for me, but it doesn't look that bad, really. I love the butterflies on the music sheet! Pretty!

i hadn't thought of using the inks this way - thanks for a great idea :) and i love the music. i think i'll look at second hand stores for old sheet music books (don't want to part with any of mine) and find one to turn the whole thing into a journal.
