Adah picking strawberries

My niece Jocelyn posted these pictures of her sweet daughter Adah picking strawberries, I couldn't resist! The second I saw this awesome Julie Bonner sketch posted as the June challenge at Magpie Club, I knew these were the perfect pictures to use! I purchased a kit from Trisha at Sketch Inspirations, and it was full of yummy goodness and perfect for this layout. The patterned paper is My Minds Eye, cardstock is DCWV, letter stickers are Doodlebug Designs, gemstones are Paper Studio, Floss is DMC. You can click on the picture to enlarge it and zoom in.

6/26 UPDATE - I WON the Mary Engelbreit Challenge

At the Paper Poppy blog they have a challenge to use artwork by Mary Engelbreit as inspiration for a layout. ME has long been one of my favorite artists and whenever I think of her work I immediately think of fire engine red and bright lemon yellow. Ages ago, when I picked up this Basic Grey "June Bug" paper (the red floral) it reminded me of ME, so when I saw this challenge, I knew exactly what paper I was going to use! The yellow dot paper is Jillibean Soup "Soup Staples". The swirl rub-on is Pink Paislee and the ribbon is Offray.

I used this ME piece as my color and sketch inspiration. The quote is one ME uses also.

Love my Crocs!

Julie over at "These are a few of my Favorite Things" is having a fave shoes challenge so, of course, I had to scrap about my crocs! Four Generations (Paper Poppy sketch challenge)



Sketch Challenge at Paper Poppy, Sketch is by Aphra Bolyer. Base paper and butterfly cut outs are Prima "Flights of Fancy". Additional papers are K&Co., Core-dinations, DCWV. Doily is Hambly Screen Prints. Pink pearls are Prima, Brown pearls are Recollections. Ribbon is Michael's. Rub-ons are DejaViews. Journaling is printed and then heat embossed using Stampin' Up embossing powder. Also used: Cuttlebug embossing folder, EK Success border punch, Tim Holtz Distress Ink.

Great Gran'mom Gordon and Jacob

This sweet picture of my mom and my grandson was take on Mother's Day this year. Jacob was only 5 days old!

I used Fancy Pants Little Sprout paper and the Sketchy Thursday's sketch for this week.
I am trying to show the glittery outlining I did and the butterflies and pearls I added.

Look at Adah in these pics, isn't she adorable! What a fun and happy girl!

I am entering this layout in a contest at the Cuttlebug Challenge Blogspot. The challenge is to use a color palette of: "Aquas, Pinks, Turquoise, Raspberries, and Swimming Pool Blue, with a big scoop of Vanilla" and of course, to use the Cuttlebug.

The background cardstock is by American Crafts and the Patterned Papers are Making Memories "Spring Fling". I used two Cuttlebug dies "Floral Borders" and "Woman Sign". The tag is by 7Gypsies and the butterfly punches are by Martha Stewart. I also used pearls by KaiserCraft and Recollections; and Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist "pink bubblegum" and "waterslide"
